The Sun begins to burst from the clouds above Haleakala mountain in Maui, Hawaii. Haleakala rises over 10,000 feet above sea level on the Hawaiian island of Maui. Haleakala means “House of the Sun”.

We biked down. It was our second trip down the mountain on bikes. Our first was about 7 years ago. They’ve changed the rules since our first summit to sea bike ride. Now you can’t bike within the park or go all the way to the ocean. It’s still nice, but it’s not what it used to be and it’s probably 20 or more miles shorter.
