This is the latest ticket template I’ve created.  The idea came up at the HS soccer meeting the other night so I prototyped this one and will print it small for presentation to the team board.  I hope to be able to sell these as locker decorations and to the players and parents as posters.  Hopefully it will parlay into some of the other teams too.  The ticket is set to be printed at 8″ x 16″ so it’s large.  It could be downsized easily and would be good to pass out or used as a part of the team poster for example.

Strobist info on the player’s photo; I was going for the Nike commercial look.  It is shot using two SB flashes – I underexposed the ambient by about 1 or 2 stops by using high speed sync and then added flash to balance the player and bring her out.  The player with a SB800 and a SB600 bare flash.   The SB800 was on a light stand and SB600 was held by a Voice Activated Lightstand.   Both were fired by poverty wizards.  The shot was made in bright sun light and using a D50 to take advantage of the high speed sync you can get of that sweet little camera. Specs – 1/1000 @ F11, ISO 200.

The exciting thing is that I can now do this with my RadioPoppers and my D300 without any trouble because I can get the highspeed sync in any amount of sun from any distance away – that is exciting!

The template is done in photoshop and I finally figured out how to get her to be both infront and behind layers in the image.  It’s not hard once the idea hits you in the mind how to do it but that thought had eluded me for some time.
