The Northern KY Wedding, Fashion & Portrait Photographers met at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, KY.  What a beautiful Church.   What a beautiful Church.  Tammy Bryan is the group leader and she was able to convince  a beautiful young bride to be to model for us in the church.  Emily will be married in this church on July 4th and Tammy will be shooting her wedding.  Emily did a wonderful job modeling for us.  She was a real trooper and must have walked the up the isle 20 times!

The fine people at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption generously agreed to let us hold a Meetup there!  Even better, the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption normally asks groups of photographers for ‘donations’ to the cause in exchange for photographing in their gorgeous church.  But with nothing more than good luck on our part, the Cathedral is making a new brochure and has asked if we could come an hour early and shoot some shots (without people in them) for use in their new brochure.  I think they’ll find they have some fine photos of the church from our group.

All of these images of Emily where shot using a single SB800 through a white shoot through umbrella.  Because there were so many of us from the group there shooting it was hard to place the umbrella very well and it was typically too far away from her to be fully effective. Of course, the SB800 was fired using my Radiopopper PX system mostly in TTL mode but I did switch back and forth between manual several times from the D300 commander menu.   They Radiopoppers worked flawlessly.  It was very nice not having to worry if the flash would fire because the Radiopoppers never missed a beat!
