About
Hi, I’m Tom Seibert.
Welcome to my Photo Journal I call it - Light and Pixels - ’cause to me, that’s what makes digital photography work – Light and pixels.![]()
As a semi-pro photographer with a day job, this blog serves as my Photographer’s Notebook.
LightandPixels.com helps me record many of my photographic adventures while also recording my growing knowledge of the art of photography. As is often the case, the more I learn the more I know there is so much more to learn. As I learn I want to share that knowledge with my fellow photographers so you’ll find several DIY projects documented on LightandPixels.com.
Photography is a passion for me, I want to capture lasting images that record the mood of the moment. I hope to show the inside of person being photographed by capturing the image of their outside presence.
My favorite photograph is the portrait. I specificity like sports portraiture or “Sportraits”. Athletes are an amazing group of people who must dedicate themselves in a way that can not last forever – I want to capture them at the peak of their game.
I’ve become a loyal follower of David Hobby’s Strobist.com blog. If you want to learn how to light – Strobist.com is the place to be! I can tell you that what I’ve learned there has brought my photography up several notches. Thanks D.H.
I should also thank David for making my little blog “famous” by posting a link to my DIY instructions for my beauty dish on Strobist.com.
Check our my portfolio, subscribe to my RSS stream, and feel free to contact me for questions or if you’d like me to do a shoot with you.
Cheers,
Tom
